Aloe vera, and cucumber – are natural foods that can aid in the battle against acne. Before using anything, consult with a dermatologist. Acne is a skin condition affecting people worldwide. It typically appears on the face, neck, shoulders, and back, not posing a threat to health but influencing self-confidence.
Today, various acne treatments exist, and you can try some natural foods already available at home. However, before applying anything to your face, it’s advisable to consult with a dermatologist. It’s also a good idea to test the products on a small part of the skin, like the neck, first. If any reaction occurs, avoid using the product on the face.
Simultaneously, if you have a severe acne problem, refrain from self-treating to avoid worsening the condition. Some natural ways to clear the skin from acne include:
- Lemon juice: Medically proven to be effective in calming inflamed skin due to its anti-inflammatory components and high vitamin C content. Squeeze a lemon into a bowl, soak cotton in the juice, and cleanse the face before bedtime. Rinse your face with warm water upon waking up.
- Orange peel: Another effective way to cleanse the face and neck. Gently rub problematic areas with orange peel before bedtime. In the morning, rinse your face with lukewarm water.
- Aloe vera: One of the most well-known herbs for the skin with numerous healing properties, including the ability to eliminate acne. Take an aloe vera leaf, rinse it with fresh water, place it on the acne, and gently rub it for five minutes. This will soften the acne, and reduce swelling, and redness.
- Egg white: Apply egg white directly on the acne before bedtime. Rinse your face with lukewarm water in the morning.
- Banana peel: One of the best ingredients for naturally removing acne, as it contains lutein and zinc, which can aid in the fight against acne. Gently massage your face with the inner part of a banana peel. Wait for 30 minutes, then rinse your face with lukewarm water.
- Cucumber: Cut one or two small cucumbers into thin slices and soak them in water for about an hour. Nutrients such as vitamin A and potassium will remain in the water. Drain the water and use it to rinse your face.
- Onion: Yes, it might not smell the best, but it has antiviral, antifungal, and antiseptic properties. Cut fresh garlic halves, then gently rub the acne and let it work for five minutes. After the treatment, rinse your face with lukewarm water.
